Custom Imports

If you have a spreadsheet or table that you need to import into PHDwin, you can customize the import mapping to match the structure of your file. PHDwin can import data from Excel spreadsheets, CSV files, Access, or SQL databases. Custom imports are commonly used to update production data, create new cases, or adjust the ownership. They can also be used to apply prices, expenses, or investments to all of your cases. See the @list of import tokens for an overview of everything you can import.

Setting Up your Custom Import

When you set up your file, each row of data that you are trying to import should begin with an ID code, so that the program knows which case you are trying to append the data to. The rest of the columns will contain the data that you are trying to import. For some types of imports, like monthly history, you’ll have to repeat the ID code for each month of production.
